MTG Arena is back at TGS! Join us on December 27th to say goodbye to 2020 in style with one last Standard tournament. Once again featuring a whopping $500 prize pool, this will be the perfect way to end your MTG year. Time to show you have what it takes to brave the competition and come out on top! 🏆
Competitors are welcome from all over North America and of all skill levels to fight for their share of the prize pool! You can also follow the tournament with full event coverage on our Twitch channel!
Notes: Times are in PST and currency is in CAD.
➡️ Tournament Format:
Standard, Best of 3, Open decklists, Swiss with a cut to Top 8
Directly challenge your opponent using the MTG Arena “TOURNAMENT MATCH” challenge option.
➡️ Official Ruleset:
Players must “Check-in” to every round. Simply click the green button to check-in to your match.
You will have 5 minutes to check-in and start your matches. You will receive a game penalty if you don’t start communicating with an admin or your opponent 5 minutes after the round is paired. If you still haven’t communicated with an admin or your opponent 10 minutes after the round starts then you will receive a match loss.
Once your match has ended, ensure that you take screenshots of your match result showing both players’ names. If there are any discrepancies in the match results, an admin may ask you for this as proof of your result. Then submit the match results in your Player Controller.
In case there is an issue with your match, use the “Contact Tournament Staff” feature to select your issue and submit your ticket. The TGS staff will be in contact with you as quickly as possible.
➡️ Online Events Disclaimers:
Participants must be residents of North America to participate.
Players participating in online events MUST be available in the TGS Discord server during the time of that event. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from that event.
In the event that there is a dispute between players, we may ask for a screenshot or to share your screen through the TGS Discord in order to better understand a situation.
Any types of connection issue, bugs, anything related to your game crashing/not functioning properly will not result in restarting the match.
Players should be aware of known issues in MTG Arena.
➡️ Age Restrictions:
Players under the age of 13 must have a consent form signed by a parent or legal guardian in order to participate in this event.
Players under the age of 19 who qualify for prizing must have a release form signed by a parent or legal guardian to receive said prizing.
These forms are available online and at our facility on the day of the event as well as pinned in our Discord server. These forms are valid for the period of a year after the date they are signed.
Registration will close the day of the tournament at 10:45 AM PDT.
Decklist submission will close the day of the tournament at 10:55 AM PDT.
Round 1 starts at 11:00 AM PDT.
