How it works

The Calling Package includes three (3) Arcanic Shockwave Rainbow Foil promos, a Tales of Aria Limited Edition Storage Box, and entry into The Calling and Battle Hardened events at SCG Con Indianapolis to compete for exclusive playmats, Gold Foil Legendary cards, Professional Tour Invitations (PTIs), and their share of over $20,000 in prizes

Registration

Players who have purchased The Calling Package will be registered for The Calling and Battle Hardened events at SCG CON Indianapolis.
Players who make Day 2 of The Calling can opt to withdraw from the Battle Hardened event and receive 300 Prize Wall tickets.
Players must have their GEM ID in their Melee.gg profile in order to enroll.

Decklists

Decklists will be submitted on paper decklists at the beginning of each event.
Decklists are due prior to the start of the first round of each event.
Failure to submit a decklist on time will result in Tardiness penalties.

If paper printouts are made for this tournament, players' names will display as their real names regardless of their profile settings.

All SCG CON tournaments will be run according to the Tournament Rules for their respective game systems:

Pairings

Pairings for SCG CON events will be available either on the Magic: The Gathering Companion App or on Paper in the event hall.
It is each Player's sole responsibility to find their pairings and report to their matches for the beginning of each round of their events.

Matches

Round length will be determined by event type for every event at SCG CON.
It is the responsibility of the winner of any given match to ensure that the result is reported and recorded correctly. However if either player notices a discrepancy between the actual result of the match, and the reported match result, they must bring the error to the attention of a tournament official immediately.

Eligibility

Players must have accounts in good standing on MTG Melee and Star City Games.
Players must not be currently suspended from participating in/on tabletop Magic: The Gathering events, SCG Tour Online events and/or tabletop Star City Games events.
Regional eligibility restrictions also apply, void where prohibited.

The Calling - March 19th, 2022 - 10:00 am Day 1 - Saturday, March 19th, 2022:

Swiss rounds based on attendance (7-9 rounds).
All players with 2 or less losses during Day 1 advance to Day 2.

Day 2 - Sunday, March 20th, 2022:

Five (5) rounds of Swiss.
Top eight (8) players advance to a single elimination Playoff.

Battle Hardened - March 20th, 2022 - 9:00 am

Six (6) rounds of Swiss.
Top 8 players advance to a Single Elimination Top 8 at the conclusion of the Swiss rounds.

The organizer has agreed to pay out prizes immediately after the tournament has ended.

In order to receive cash prizes from a Star City Games event, players must have a current, signed, and dated tax form on file with Star City Games. If you have not submitted a tax form with up to date information to Star City Games, or are unsure about the status of your tax form, please check in with us at the event to fill one out.
