Connection/ In Game Issues

All connection issues are the responsibility of the players to work out. Everyone is responsible for their internet/computer to be in working condition! Any in-game issues, that need attention, must be brought to a staff member in a timely manner. All players should be aware of MTG Arena bugs/issues.

Players will need to concede the match once timer reaches fifteen minutes (Based on fourty minute timer in-game for Magic: Online)

**All decisions will be final when made by Staff and Tournament Organizers. **

Pairings

All pairings will be final once posted. Please listen out for any text/audio notifications on new pairings posted. Please consider signing up for SMS notifications on MTGMelee.

If a player joins our event after pairings have been posted for Round 1, that player will receive a match less when entering the event.

All players need to Direct Challenge their opponents on Magic: Online.

Players are not allowed to intentionally draw.

Top 8 will be using the Play/Draw Rule. Higher Seed challenges and chooses.

Challenge Issues

Common issues arise when challenging other players, some of these are as follows:

1. Cannot connect to opponent

2. Rules/Settings not the same as your opponents

3. Cannot find username due to error or unrecognizable lettering

Please take the necessary steps to speak to your opponent before contacting a staff member. Adding each other on Friends List, restarting Arena, restarting router, and making sure all challenge details are the same as your opponents are all common fixes.

Proof

In certain cases you may need to provide proof of winning/cheating in a game (This includes exploiting bugs within the game). We suggest taking screenshots of Victories or in-game issues for proof if needed, (I.E. if your opponent plays a card they shouldn't, etc.)

All pictures or videos presented will be taken into consideration when making a decision.

Coverage

The Top 8 finishers will be asked to share their screens in Discord for video/coverage purposes. It will not be shared with your opponents in real-time for tournament integrity.

By registering for this event, you are agreeing that we are able to use your (username, audio, video, etc.) for our stream/social media purposes.

Prizing

All prizing is payed out VIA PayPal.com!

Please allow up to 10 days after the tournament has concluded to be contacted about prizing.

Winners will receive an email regarding prizing policies after verifying their identity.

Players will receive all prizes within sixty days of verifying their identity and confirming our payment policy VIA email.

Legal Obligations

All players must be 18 years or older. Players between the ages of 13-17 will need to have a completed Parent/Guardian form. Which can be found here: Parent/Guardian Consent Form

All players must abide by all MTG Melee, Wizards of the Coast, and Insight Esports rules/code of conducts.

Our staff reserves the right to drop any player from the tournament by breaking any rules or code of conduct. Refunds, for this reason, will not be permitted.

Prize Pool Changes

We will not be changing the prize pool with 100 or more players. Under 100 players will have a prize restructure and a grace period before the tournament begins if any player wishes to receive a refund.

1st: $1,250 USD + 50 Insights

2nd: $750 USD + 30 Insights

3rd-4th: $500 USD + 15 Insights

5th-8th: $200 USD + 10 Insights

9th-16th: $100 USD + 5 Insights

17th-32nd: $25 USD + 2 Insights

Players who finish between 1-16 will receive an invitation to the Summer Series Tier 1 Invitational on July 31st.
