EXTRANCE
Make sure that your Arena ID is available on Mtgmelee. This is quite literally the only way your opponent will be able to challenge you apart from trying to find similar usernames on Discord.

TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE
When challenging, players should use the "Limited Tournament Match" or "Historic Tournament Match" challenge mode. Previous tournaments have reported problems with the "Historic Tournament Match" challenge mode not allowing Nexus of Fate, so bear this fact in mind when challenging your opponent.
The tournament will be composed of 7 Swiss-system rounds, which means that all players will be playing all 7 rounds against opponents with equal records, with the top 8 being decided by a point-based system.
After, the top 8 will compete in a bracket to determine a ranking.
Each round will be restricted to a 50 minute timer - if a pairing surpasses the 50 minute mark, participants are to immediately submit their current score (be it 1-0 or 1-1). This helps us keep the tournament going in a timely manner.
DECKLISTS
The tournament is open decklist. This means that you must submit your decklist before the tournament begins, otherwise you will be dropped from the tournaent. This also means that both you and your opponent will know each other's decklists ahead of time. You can submit your decklist through the player controller.
HAVE FUN
This is, first and foremost, a tournament intended for players to enjoy and participate in a weekly, semi-competitive Historic environment.
This tournament will have a prize pool:
- The top 4 players will all get a free Premium Membership to MTG Arena Zone (if you already have it, an extra month is added onto your existing subscription)
- First place will get $30 USD
- Second place will get $20 USD
- Third and fourth place will each get $10 USD
