How it works
The $5K RCQ - March of the Machine Sealed event is an open entry event where players receive six (6) Draft Boosters of March of the Machine and compete for their share of a $5,000 and a qualification for the Regional Championship at DreamHack.
SCG CON $5K RCQ - March of the Machine Sealed Event Structure
Participants will receive six (6) Draft Boosters of March of the Machine to build a forty (40) card deck then play in Swiss rounds based on attendance. The Top 8 players will then draft and play a Single Elimination Top 8. The Top 8 will draft and play the Quarterfinals on Friday evening. The Top 4 will finish the event on Saturday Morning.
Registration
- Registration for all events at SCG CON will close 10 minutes prior to each event.
- Players who enter after the tournament has begun will be enrolled with a Loss for their first round.
- Players must have their Wizards Account Email in their Melee.gg profile in order to enroll.
Decklists
- All players will have their pools registered by another player.
- Players will have 45 minutes to build and register a forty card deck.
- Decklists must be submitted prior to the start of the first round of the event.
- Failure to submit a decklist on time will result in Tardiness penalties.
If paper printouts are made for this tournament, players' names will display as their real names regardless of their profile settings.

Pairings
- Pairings for the $5K RCQ - March of the Machine Sealed will be available on Melee.gg and on Paper in the event hall.
- It is each Player's sole responsibility to find their pairings and report to their matches for the beginning of each round of their events.
Matches
- Rounds for the $5K RCQ - March of the Machine Sealed will be 50 minutes.
- It is the responsibility of the winning player to ensure the result is reported and recorded correctly. However if any player notices a discrepancy between the actual result of the match, and the reported match result, they must bring the error to the attention of a tournament official immediately.
Eligibility
- All players must have accounts in good standing on MTG Melee and Star City Games.
- All players must not be currently suspended from participating in Magic: The Gathering events and/or Star City Games events.
- Regional eligibility restrictions also apply, void where prohibited.
Registration closes at 10:50 am on Friday, April 14th
Sealed Deck Registration and Build begins at 11:00 am on Friday, April 14th
Round One (1) begins at the end of the Registration and Build period
Swiss rounds based on attendance
Cut to the Top 8 players at the conclusion of the Swiss rounds
Top 8 players will draft and play a Single Elimination Top 8 begining at 8:30 am on Saturday, April 15th
The organizer has agreed to pay out prizes in 30 days or less.
$5K RCQ - March of the Machine Sealed Prize Pool
- 1st: $1,500.00 and qualification for the Regional Championship at the Dreamhack
- 2nd: $700.00
- 3rd-4th: $500.00
- 5th-8th: $250.00
- 9th-16th: $100
In order to receive cash prizes from a Star City Games event, players must have a current, signed, and dated tax form on file with Star City Games. If you have not submitted a tax form with up to date information to Star City Games, or are unsure about the status of your tax form, please check in with us at the event to fill one out.
