Players who purchase this package will be granted exclusive access to the SCG CON Command Zone for all three days.

Players who purchase the package will also receive:

  • Badge and Lanyard (Must be displayed at all times when in the Command Zone)
  • Arcane Signet Promotional Card (Non-Foil)
  • Path of Ancestry Promotional Card (Non-Foil)
  • Choice from over twenty (20) eligible playmats available at the SCG Prize Wall

Commander Vouchers can be used for:

Picking Up Your Commander Package

Players may collect their badge and swag any time throughout the weekend. To do this, speak to the staff at the entrance to the Command Zone.

To unenroll after you must contact the organizer.

All SCG CON tournaments will be run according to the Tournament Rules for their respective game systems:

  • Badges must be displayed at all times while in the Command Zone.

Eligibility

  • Players must have accounts in good standing on MTG Melee and Star City Games.
  • Players must not be currently suspended from participating in Magic: The Gathering events and/or Star City Games events.
  • Regional eligibility restrictions also apply, void where prohibited.

Friday, February 3rd, 2023 - 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm

  • Noon-1:00 pm - Meet and Greet with special guests Sheldon Menery and Gavin Verhey Special guests will together welcome players to the Command Zone, offer signatures on cards and playmats.

  • 5:00 pm-6:00 pm - Commander Roundtable Gavin and Sheldon will host a discussion with fans of the format about what’s upcoming from both Studio X and the Commander Rules Committee. Join leaders of the community for a casual discussion of where the format is going.

Saturday, February 4th, 2023 - 8:00 am - 8:00 pm

  • 10:00 am - Special ONE Draft with Sheldon and Gavin This is a ticketed (Two (2) Commander Vouchers) Swiss Draft with Sheldon and Gavin. Space is limited to 14 players and a Commander Package is required for entry. Each participant receives 50 Prize Wall Tickets.

  • 5:00 pm-7:00 pm - Commander Deck Design Seminar Gavin and Sheldon will discuss Commander deck design philosophy with a focus on building to a power level appropriate to a specific group. They will then build a new deck, featuring one of the new commanders from ONE, along with seminar participants.

  • 1:00pm-3:00 pm - Creating a Legend Seminar Join our special guests as they create a legendary creature on the spot! Discuss the design philosophy and implementation of legendary creatures and get some behind-the-scenes insight into into card design for Commander.

The organizer has agreed to pay out prizes immediately after the tournament has ended.

Command Zone Exclusive Events

cEDH - 10:00 am and 4:00 pm each day

  • One Round
  • Winner of each Pod receives 240 Prize Wall Tickets
  • 3-5 Player Pods based on attendance

Two-Headed Giant Commander - 2:00 pm each day

  • One Round
  • Each player receives 40 Prize Wall Tickets
  • Winning Team received 80 Prize Wall Tickets
  • Two 2-Player Teams play against each other

Commander - Noon and 6:00 pm each day

  • One Round
  • Each player receives 60 Prize Wall Tickets
